Mikey and Jeff met the modern way - they met online. But even still, their relationship grew with their love of gardening and enjoying time out with friends and cocktails. In fact, their favorite date together was when they went to an open house at a floral shop!
Jeff told me that he loves that Mikey makes his world beautiful - literally beautiful through Mikey’s decorating and gardening talents. With their four dogs, Mikey and Jeff have both cultivated the most beautiful home together with a dreamy backyard that makes you forget where you are. It was a no-brainer that we had to include the backyard in their engagement session.
Making your home part of an engagement session is so intimate and really helped them feel comfortable together. And their four dogs were not shy - wanting to be included in all the moments, which was adorable. With four dogs begging for attention, we decided to take a drive to our second location in Lexington, KY - Waveland.
Waveland State Historic Site was just that - a historic location showcasing a way of life for the era of Daniel Boone. But, it also provided such great scenery for the remainder of their engagement session.
