While this year (as all years) went by quickly, I feel like a lot has happened. I wanted to take time in this last Project 52 prompt post to reflect on all the great things that have happened, all the changes made, and the things I’m most excited about. I do this as it was -3 degrees when I woke up this morning.

  • I got two new tattoos
  • Saw Hans Zimmer in concert
  • I moved to Illinois
  • I read 3 books
  • My brother got engaged
  • I booked the most clients this year
  • I got a new client management system
  • I traveled to Colorado multiple times
  • I paid off a loan
  • I’m making plans to visit Oregon
  • I participated in a weekly photo challenge
  • I finally opened a business bank account
  • I mastered Lightroom
  • I started a photography business course
  • I went on a trip with my dad
  • I get to see Wicked with my mom in January
  • My best friend got pregnant and her tumor is in remission
  • I wrote my state representative about something I was passionate about
  • I became a registered business
  • I went to a Cubs game with my family
  • I changed my budget to set aside money for travel
  • I finally got a new phone
  • I remodeled the basement of my parents’ house
  • I made a new best friend
  • I finally got a therapist
  • I made a separate Instagram account for my business
  • I saw the solar eclipse and cried
  • Did a fun retro-styled photoshoot
  • Got my picture taken
  • Saw a street vaulting competition
  • My childhood neighbor and long-time friend got married
  • I visited Bulleit Bourbon distillery
  • Picked a new batch of wildflowers
  • Finished editing my photos from London
  • Saw Lady Gaga in concert
  • Watched (and fell in love with) Project Runway
  • Added some purple in my hair
  • Saw Aladdin the Musical with my mom
  • Volunteered on National Women’s Day
  • Watched Beauty and the Beast in theatres with my mom and best friend
  • Saw Star Wars: The Last Jedi
  • Celebrated my brother getting an official job in Colorado

There are so many great things that have happened this year. And even the times where life was hard, I pushed through to look back on this year as a positive. Next year will be even better.
